The goal of this site is to provide resources, mentorship & leadership for those building vibrant communities. As the community manager role becomes more prevalent I am striving to contribute to best practices. The precepts of community building apply to businesses no matter their size or type making this area critical to the integration of social media tools. It's about building relationships rather than the technology. My present employment with Techrigy, Inc allows me to help people focus on social media monitoring. Techrigy SM2 offers the most robust analytics & reporting. It offers me the opportunity to continue being a practitioner and stay in the forefront of the evolution of social media. My past experience has included: providing long term community management services to Network Solutions; consulting to companies in regard to the community manager role; & high level mentorship to community managers. My first online role as a Community Manager was with ACDSee. Prior to working online, my experience ranged from ten years of leadership experience in a public library system (I love books & authors!); teaching HS Spanish (I love teaching); and a stint as a US Customs Inspector.
